December 30, 2010 "Chicago Day"

It is so nice to have the warmer weather back again. This is the Florida Winter that I like. It is gonna be back in the mid seventies this week and even creep up into the 80's as the week progresses.

The entire van was loaded with people from Chicago today. I had a wonderful crew with me and a great day of Everglades Adventure. It is great to have kid's on the van and even greater when they are fun and well behaved and I got to tell you these kiddo's were! Thanks!

I am very disappointed with the photo's inside the Chickee with Buster our gator and apologize for the poor quality. My iPhone takes great photo's OUTSIDE but inside the weird lighting plays havoc with my shots.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the journey today and although the cooler weather interfered with seeing gators I think you got a good idea about our Everglades and the wildlife that it holds. I know the birds were wonderful and you got a chance to see a Otter! Cool!

December 29, 2010 "WARM AT LAST!"

Ah the WARM weather is returning and today marked the first of the good days coming up! What a great adventure I had today and I hope the families that joined me also had a good time.

The birds and gators seemed to have a smile on their faces this morning for sure. I saw tons of Roseate Spoonbills right around the Chickee today and just sat and watched them "mud" for food.

The airboat ride was cool but doable for my folks and everyone returned safe today. Captain Kempton came through again and did not lose anyone today! Good thing! I hate the paper work.

All in all the day was about a 9.5 out of 10 for me and the only reason for the lower score is because we played with "Buster" inside, the lighting was so bad my pics did not turn our good. Sorry folks!

December 28, 2010 "Just Another Day In Paradise - But Cold!"

Another COLD day in the Everglades today, however, the sun was shining and the wind was not quite so bad today!

I had two families with me today for a total of 11 people so two boats were required. Both groups had a good time and it was a new experience for them. Although it was cold I think seeing the glades in its glory, the birds, alligators and beautiful landscape is an experience that most people find wonderful regardless of weather.

With that said, I hope you all did enjoy yourselves and will share the pics and videos with others so they can see how your morning went.

The sun was so bright it was difficult to get nice clear shots so sorry bout the quality of the pics but I hope you enjoy anyway.

OK then, be safe and enjoy your stay and journey home. Happy New Year and may your return visit here on the Gulf Coast bring you better, warmer weather next time! Don't let the cold weather of this trip make you shy from coming back this was a fluke for us. Clear sky's and warmer weather are our winter days on normal occasions.
